The Tudors:
Anna Stafford is seen in the first episode of The Tudors. She is a pretty girl that is seduced and bedded by Charles Brandon. This enrages her haughty father; The duke of Buckingham. Her father although once a firm friend of the king has now been driven away by his dislike of Wolsey and the king favoring low born couriers over the aristocracy of England. The duke has more royal blood than the king of England himself and a more legitimate claim to the throne and threatens civil war to gain it. However he is betrayed and is behead for treason like his father before him. Anna watches in horror as the axe comes down.
Story on the kingdom:
Anna arrives at court with little welcome or friends initially. However things begin to change after a series of parties and events. During this time she be friends Richard of Bavaria, a friend of her fathers. During her time at court she flirts (in particular Charles Brandon) with many courtiers and eventually becomes the king's mistress. She gives him a bastard son who becomes the new duke of Buckingham. However Anna became ambitious and wanted her son to be named the king's heir. Something that the Duke of Norfolk, her brother-in-law, would not tolerate. Seeing her as a threat to Anne Boleyn he tells Anne and the king gossip and rumors about Anna that lead to her arrest and beheading for treason.

{does not directly follow on from the Kingdom} Anna has been a courtier and a duchess or a number of years now. She continues to Serve Katherine of Argon. She has been the mistress of king Henry VIII but only for a short period of time while he seduced Anne Boleyn.
