He was born in 1497 as the oldest son of Robert Ashbrook and his wife Alice. Earl of Northleach. The family were poor but two years later had another child; Julia. Julia and Anthony became very close.
Over the next decade, the family's fortunes changed. The family became the most respectable and richest family in Northleach and even the earls of Northleach. Robert and Alice then have their third child; Agnes. Julia and Anthony excluded Agnes and were quit cruel and spiteful towards her.
Soon after, Anthony married a local (but lowly) lord's daughter Annabel Shore. They had two sons ; Edward and Thomas, and a daughter named Margaret. He moved from his family home and started to build his own manor in Northleach. While doing this he made some investments in businesses including Edmund Hastonbury's fashion and fabric emporium.
When his Father, mother and brother-in-law died, Anthony was made earl of Northleach. His now widowed sister, Agnes, begged him for him he rejected her and sent her away.
