Rose Harcourt is a young orphaned Countess, all of her known family is dead and she is now about to make an appearance at court. She is the Countess of Richmond and her family home is there though she finds it lonely out there on her own and prefers the hustle and bustle of court life. She has only one treasured possession which is a rosary of her mothers, and she always keeps it with her even though she's not a catholic like her mother was. Her father had embraced the protestant faith whereas her mother hadn't and so Rose had been taught to be a protestant by her father. She's a generally kind person who enjoys riding, masques & balls, gardening and dancing.
Sports were encouraged by her father and she enjoys them, generally she was closer to her father as they shared the same type of beliefs and interests. Rose loved her mother too but not as much as her father, thats why she holds onto her mothers rosary as if to make up for their lost relationship. She can be a very outspoken person though and will speak her mind on certain topics, she also has a competitive streak.
