Daniel Francis was born in the village of Brennidon in the country of Bavaria. He has an older brother, Michael, and a younger sister, Jackie.
When Daniel was 15, he and his childhood sweetheart, Alison Weston, had a son together. His name is William. Daniel, thinking that Alison wouldn’t want him around after having gotten her pregnant out of wedlock in the first place, left. But, he always made sure that Will had what he needed.
Daniel then went and started courting Alison’s sister, Margaret. During that time, Michael became jealous of Daniel and stole Margaret away from him, telling her that Daniel didn’t love her. When Margaret ran off and married Michael, Daniel got furious at his brother. The two barely spoke to each other and, when they did, it wasn’t pretty. A few years after Margaret married Michael, Daniel went to the Bavarian court.
It was there that Daniel came face to face with his destiny.
While exploring the great hall of the Bavarian Royal Palace, Daniel came across a young woman. He knew just by looking at her that she was noble. They started talking and became friends. It wasn’t long after they met that Daniel realized that he had just become friends with – and developed feelings for – Cordelia Tudor, the oldest daughter of King Henry Tudor VIII of England.
It was love at first sight for Delia and Daniel as they eloped soon after they met. Upon arriving in England and Henry finding out that his daughter married a commoner, Daniel was sent to the Tower of London to be beaten for a week while his wife was put under house arrest.
Despite being beaten every day, Daniel’s only thought was Delia. When she finally came to rescue him, he almost didn’t believe that it was her. One thing got him thinking straight again:
He was going to be a father.
After getting back to Bavaria and re-uniting with his family, Daniel’s old feelings for Margaret started coming to the surface. Disturbed by the fact that he couldn’t lay with Cordelia while she was with child, Daniel found comfort in Margaret. Of course, just as he started doing the dirty deed did Cordelia ride up on horseback and catch them.
It was on that day that Daniel and Cordelia fought that their daughter, Abigail, was born.
But, Cordelia almost didn’t make it.
This made Daniel realize how much his wife really meant to him and how stupid he was for even straying for a second. Thankfully, Cordelia recovered. Two years later, Daniel, Delia, and Abby all moved back to England.
It was there that Daniel had another fight with Cordelia.
Afraid that he might lose his wife again due to the effects of childbirth, Daniel confessed to her that he didn’t want to have any more children, even if that meant getting rid of them while in the womb. Cordelia, shocked by this, told him that she would rather die than kill her child. Daniel stormed out of the castle and headed back to Bavaria, not knowing that Cordelia was pregnant at the time of the fight.
While in Bavaria, Daniel re-united again with Alison, his sweetheart. When she revealed to him that she never wanted him to leave so many years before, Daniel started to remember the feelings he had for the mother of his son. Alison reminded him of what he had with Cordelia and the two headed back to England.
After the husband and wife forgave each other, Daniel voiced his thoughts that he wanted to go to school to become a doctor. Though it pained them both, Daniel left to go to Oxford to study, promising his wife that he would be home for the birth. And, indeed he was.
Cordelia and Daniel were living happily until the fateful night that Daniel received a letter saying that his mother had died. It was on this night that Cordelia went into premature labor. She gave birth to a son, Riley.
Soon after Riley was born, Daniel and Delia headed to Bavaria to see Daniel’s sister, Jackie. Daniel, angry at Jackie who he believed let their mother die, was not in the best of moods when he saw his sister. Jackie tried to make him understand that she could not control their mother tripping and hitting her head on a sharp rock. It was only after going to the gravesite that the brother and sister came to be on good terms again.
Daniel went back to school soon after and completed his training to be a doctor.
He has now returned and is looking forward to reunited with his family.
