Katharina was born 20 years ago as daughter to Isolde and Friedrich vom Walde in the Duchy of Braunschweig-Göttingen.
Her father had been a popular philosopher for quite some time already when his daughter was born and through that and money he had gotten from his father after he died he could afford a good life for himself and his family. They lived in a little estate outside of the village with the name of Nienover.
However about 6 years after her birth her father decided to move together with his family to England. He wanted to see the world and he hoped to find inspiration in a new country, new ideas, that he had never heard of in his homeland. It was an adventure, and just like every other adventure it was rather exhausting, especially for young Kat and if it had not been for her older brother Friedhelm, who had hold her hand again and again, when she was worried, it would have been even worse.
Kat who till then surely had gotten education, but she was still not perfect and fluid in english, so the first weeks in this new Land for her had been kind of hard on one side, but on the other side pretty exciting.
These times are long gone now, by now young Kat has grown to a promising young lady, who just like her father has a love for philosophy, music and dancing and like her mother loves beautiful dresses in bright colors.
So many years have passed since she arrived in England a since then she has learned alot, there are only a few things who still tell, that she has not been born on the island. For once there is of course her german accent, it is not so thick anymore as it had been when she first arrived, but native speakers still won't miss it. Also her fashion taste tells from her background, she prefers slightly simpler dresses to those full with pearls and other glittery applications. Besides of that, not much marks her as coming from the Holy Roman Empire.
Recently Kat is worried more often than usually, because even tho she is already 20, she has not yet found a man to marry. Because of that she is starting to attend more and more social meetings, in the hope to find a good man. Even tho she in conservative in that perspective, she is still very found of Martin Lutter, even tho she keeps that a secret, a foundness she shares with her father.
Besides looking for men Kat writes down what comes to her mind when she philosophises like her father. Her father releases those philosophies together with his own and gives Kat the nickname of Marta von Idarbrück. Something the lady is thankful for, because she knows that women writing books are frowned upon.
